How I work
A space to slow down and come back to yourself
Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you or analysing you from a distance.
It’s a collaborative, human process — a steady space where you can explore your inner world at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
My role is to walk alongside you, not ahead of you.
I listen closely, I’m present with you, and I help you make sense of the parts of yourself you’ve had to hide or soften to get through life.
My therapeutic approach
I work relationally, which means the connection between us is central to the work.
You don’t have to perform or pretend.
You don’t need the perfect words.
You get to be yourself — even the parts you’re unsure about.
My practice is:
Trauma‑informed
I understand how overwhelming experiences shape the nervous system, relationships, and self‑perception. We move gently, with care and attunement to your needs.
Relational
We explore how your past and present relationships influence how you feel, think, and move through the world — including how you relate to yourself.
Psychodynamic
We look at patterns, stories, and emotional threads that run beneath the surface, helping you understand why certain feelings or behaviours keep showing up.
Parts‑aware
Many people carry different “parts” of themselves — protective, wounded, overwhelmed, driven, exhausted. We explore these with compassion, not judgement.
Identity‑focused
For those who feel “different”, “too much”, or “out of place”, we explore identity, belonging, and the masks you’ve learned to wear.
What sessions feel like
Sessions with me are spacious and grounding. You can bring whatever is happening for you — the overwhelm, the numbness, the confusion, the grief, the anger, the exhaustion, or the questions you can’t quite articulate.
You can expect:
• warmth, not judgement
• curiosity, not assumptions
• depth, not small talk
• a steady presence, not emotional distance
Some sessions feel reflective.
Some feel emotional.
Some feel like gentle, slow untangling.
All of them are shaped around what you need in that moment.
Your pace matters
There is no rush here.
You don’t have to dive into your history before you’re ready.
You don’t have to share anything you don’t want to.
We move at a pace that feels safe for your nervous system — not one dictated by urgency or expectation.
Therapy is not a race; it’s a process of returning to yourself.
The consultation
Your consultation is a gentle conversation where we explore:
• what’s been happening for you
• what you’re hoping for
• what feels difficult right now
• whether we feel like a good fit
There’s no pressure to tell your whole story.
You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable.
This session is about connection, not interrogation.
If this feels like the kind of space you’ve been looking for, you’re welcome to get in touch. Whether you’re exploring therapy for the first time or returning to it, we can take things one step at a time and see whether working together feels right for you. I offer counselling in Greenwich, both in person and online, at a pace that supports your nervous system and your needs.
